Cazimi Mercury

Definition

Cazimi Mercury occurs when Mercury is extremely close to the Sun by zodiacal degree. In many traditional systems, a planet is cazimi when it lies within about 17 arcminutes of the Sun’s center, although some astrologers use slightly different limits. Unlike ordinary combustion, which may weaken or obscure a planet, cazimi is traditionally considered a condition of unusual strength or protection.

Astrological Meaning
