Kite Configuration

In astrology, a kite configuration is a unique planetary pattern that looks—yes—like a kite in the chart.

Right now, the sky has a kite configuration that’s both exciting and a bit intense. This will last till mid week. The full moon this weekend is lighting up this configuration, amplifying its intensity.

We have a Grand Trine in air signs — Mars in Libra, Pluto in Aquarius, and Uranus in Gemini — bringing a natural flow of ideas, communication, and innovation.

But there’s also Saturn and Neptune together in Aries, directly opposite Mars. That’s the “tail” of the kite — the part that adds tension, focus, and direction. These two also form sextiles to Pluto and Uranus, tying the whole pattern together.

The Grand Trine gives you lift — like catching a steady breeze of insight, creativity, and motivation. Mars is the “nose” of the kite — the part that wants to take off fast. Saturn and Neptune are the anchor — acting as both a stabilizer and a drag. Saturn demands discipline, while Neptune seeks dreams; together they can feel foggy but purposeful.

With all this happening around the August 9 Full Moon in Aquarius, there’s an extra dose of emotional clarity and “aha!” moments about what (or who) belongs in your orbit — and what needs to go.

Bottom line: This is a “go for it” sky, but with a caveat — you’ll fly higher if you balance action (Mars) with vision (Neptune) and structure (Saturn). Push too fast without a plan, and you’ll just spin in circles.

One challenge of a kite configuration is that the opposition can either be ignored—letting problems fester—or get drowned out in “too much of a good time,” neglecting necessary work. The current Mars opposite Saturn/Neptune aspect demands effort. It’s a test of disciplined will. Saturn is about duty, responsibility, obligation, and getting real.

For example, musician, Kurt Cobain had a kite in his birth chart, but the opposition points were steeped in obsession, escape, nervous tension, and the challenge of balancing idealism with reality. In his case, Uranus and Pluto opposed Saturn and Venus, forming what you could call a “quadruple kite,” as each planetary pair carried its own themes:

Pluto (Virgo) Opposite Saturn (Pisces) – Control and compulsion (Pluto–Virgo) versus surrender, faith, and porous boundaries (Saturn–Pisces). Structures dissolved just as he tried to build them, creating guilt, pressure, and a chronic sense that “nothing is solid.”

Pluto (Virgo) Opposite Venus (Pisces) – Obsessive love, power dynamics, and creative intensity. The beauty/idealism of Venus–Pisces collided with Pluto’s shadow work in Virgo, resulting in all-or-nothing bonds, fear of loss, and artistic extremity.

Uranus (Virgo) Opposite Saturn (Pisces) – Freedom versus responsibility at full force. Uranus’s disruptions rattled the already-thin boundaries of Saturn–Pisces, producing erratic discipline, sudden changes, and inner whiplash.

Uranus (Virgo) Opposite Venus (Pisces) – Electrified romance and artistry — thrilling but unstable. This brought sudden breaks and reunions, attraction to the unconventional, and flashes of inspiration that vanished as quickly as they appeared.

Both Uranus and Pluto hammered Saturn and Venus, so instability and compulsion struck his security (Saturn) and his love/values/creative style (Venus) at once. His Grand Water Trine (Moon in Cancer, Venus/Saturn in Pisces, Neptune in Scorpio) gave him endless emotional flow and creative sensitivity, but the oppositions supercharged it — sometimes into genius, sometimes into overwhelm.

What might have helped him? Surrendering more to support, accepting help, and cultivating solid, dependable systems around him.

For the next four days, this same lesson applies: find the balance between duty and desire. A kite can create miracles — but only if you put in the effort.

Elements and Modalities

The 12 zodiac signs have distinguishable qualities. Specific groups of signs share similar grades. The two most popular methods for sign grouping are elements and modalities. Astrologers like to see which of the groups their natal planets fall in and add them up to produce counts or totals. It’s amusing to tally up your Sun, Moon, and planets and check out your elemental and modality

The basic thing to keep in mind while doing this is that we become what we want (or lack) and we do what we can (or have to do). Our highest totals, which show what we can or have to do, are often not held dear. Most people are obsessed by what they lack or want — their lowest totals. They tend to study their wants, imitate, and even fake them. They become or turn towards what they want.

Elements. A very popular grouping of the signs is that of the four elements — fire, earth, air, and water.

Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. People with lots of fire in their chart are very active and involved and “can do” all kinds of things. Those with little fire can’t get started and may need someone to light a fire under them.

Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. People with lots of earth are very practical. They can see how to do and use things. Those with little earth can’t be objective, aren’t grounded or practical.

Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. People with lots of air are analytical; they are able to resolve and draw conclusions. Those with little air have trouble with abstractions and ideas — getting the “big picture.”

Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. People with lots of water are very feeling and “sensitive. Those with little water can’t get a feel for things; they run cool.

Modalities. Another popular way of grouping the zodiac signs is by cardinal, fixed, and mutable.

Cardinal Signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn. People with a heavy emphasis in cardinal signs are self-starters, doers. They initiate and get things moving. Folks with few planets in cardinal signs may have trouble getting the ball rolling.

Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius. People with a heavy emphasis in fixed signs hang onto and preserve life. They are at the center of things and are hard to budge. Folks with few planets in fixed signs may have trouble persevering and lack follow thru.

Mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces. People with a heavy emphasis in mutable signs are on the move and transformative. They communicate and assist things to change. Folks with few planets in mutable signs may have trouble adapting or being flexible.

Relationship Astrology Charts

Several elements in Astrology can define love compatibility between two people. The inter aspects one chart causes to another person’s planets are the most important tool to use.

There is another tool that can supply more facts on the relationship. The Composite Chart averages both charts into one, hence a relationship chart.

.

Sometimes added guarantees might contain surplus information by looking at just the inter-aspects. I have seen where it has provided detail that could have been neglected when investigating the inter-aspects.

Other times the Composite Chart may magnify a critical aspect that may be very dominant in one party’s chart that severely impacts the relationship.

For example, I have seen compatibility between two people that seemed just okay. Yet, the Composite Chart seemed very promising. In this case, it helped provide detail on where they can improve their relationship. I have seen the reverse, where compatibility was incredibly harmonious. However, the Composite Chart was bland, indicating where challenges needed attention.

The best part of the Composite Chart is for timing. I have seen Composite Charts indicate altering events the relationship such as pregnancy, divorce, and another significant impact. The timing was on-point.

In my opinion, Composite Charts should only be used when a time of birth is available for both parties.

The Composite Chart for Donald Trump’s first two marriages show enriching details.

Relationship Astrology
Donald and Ivana Trump

DONALD AND IVANA

Donald’s relationship with Ivana seemed more like a very compulsive relationship. Power struggles, domination, manipulation, arguments, heated disagreements over money, sex was daily. The divorce came through when Uranus and Neptune where square the composite Ascendant in March 1992. Many of these themes come from Ivana’s side, where she was born with Venus opposite Pluto. Control and power are potent themes she carries in any relationship. Also, I may slightly round up another aspect most would view, the past separation quincunx Venus made to the Moon because this aspect is in Donald’s chart. This aspect will make him overly critical, emotional, and demand perfection in the relationship.

Too, I can round up the square Venus makes to Pluto because those two planets are in Ivana’s chart.  This relationship is very volatile, dramatic, and aggressive. Some would define this as abusive. When factoring Venus and Pluto, I can also factor in Venus and Saturn in the composite. This relationship may bring a lot of added responsibilities that may result in neglect for each other’s needs.  More importantly, this can also bring ongoing threats of abandonment and coercion.

The ascendant of the composite is in Libra. The ruler, Venus, is in the 7th house firmly placed in the sign of Taurus, its ruler. Some would even marvel at it being in a strong house, the 7th house, because it’s the house of partnerships and love.  On the surface, this appears as a power couple. But the big problem with this composite ruler is that there is a Quincunx to natal Jupiter. This aspect was a big problem for the couple. Feelings of dissatisfaction, instability, dishonesty, and infidelity are rampant.

Relationship Astrology
Donald Trump and Marla Maples

DONALD AND MARLA

After having such a tumultuous relationship with Ivana, I’m sure Donald desired something more peaceful and less emotionally charged.  Hence, he settled with Marla Maples.

His relationship with Marla seemed more like a friendship. It lacked romantic sparks. Though the link had devotion and dedication, it lacked the spark that was needed to keep the relationship going. The divorce came through when Saturn was opposite the 7th Composite Chart house in June 1999. Emotionally, this relationship was a huge problem. The Moon is in the weakest point in the Composite Chart. The Moon in Marla’s chart prefers emotional detachment. Donald may have supported this, especially since his relationship with Ivana may have been overly high-strung. Donald has a complicated Moon in his chart.  Emotional bonding may seem complicated for him. The lack of emotional intimacy may seem safe. However, he will get bored immediately once it becomes routine.

I wish I could use Melania’s chart. Hopefully, her time of birth may be available someday. Some inter-aspects can be analyzed with only her date of birth indicate several relationship problems.

In this case, can there be a divorce for Donald? The short answer is yes. That information is from just looking at his chart.

Composite charts are excellent for providing additional detail as long as the process doesn’t skip the inter-aspects between two people; the particulars supplied by it are enriching.

Astrology vs Psychics in Readings

Astrology versus Psychic Reading

Some accept if a reading includes Astrology, it may provide either general Sun sign compatibility news, too many technological details, or avoid the question at hand.

I believe a reading should not be bombarded with technical information. I hold the same opinion when a reader uses Tarot. Informing me that the specific card showed up and it was between another card meant _, sounds more like a class instead of a reading. I want a clear and direct answer.

Regardless of the tools used, I apply this ideology to my readings. I avoid getting technical because that would make the session sound more like a class. Sure, if a client would like to know the technical information, I am glad to give it. I keep the technical information that came up to myself and translated my findings into concrete answers in everyday language. These specific answers contain the purpose of a time, what course of action to take under a conflict, yes/no answers, timing, feelings, ideas, thoughts, and more.

When clients ask, “How is he feeling?” “When is he going to call?” “Is this relationship going to work out?” “When am I going to meet someone?” “Should I find a new job?”Etc, they want answers. The last thing they want to hear is that X planet has an aspect to Y planet. The technical delineation is not necessary. I believe in keeping things simple. However, I apply depth to the simplicity containing a purpose.

There are tools within Astrology that are used to get answers to precise questions that don’t require the person’s date of birth, time of birth, or place of birth. This is why this tool works. My motto is, “If the tool doesn’t work when I use it for myself, then I would be continuing to hunt for something that does work.”

Every reader has her/his own strongest points and limitations. I avoid doing missing objects and missing people readings. Though I have a technique for it, I refer people to seek another reader on the network that has a stronger specialty in that area. However, the nitty-gritty details about time frames, relationship chemistry, and timing purposes of carrying out a project I will do quickly.

Some clients may have experienced a reader using a blend of tools and possibly gave a brief Sun sign description. I believe that does little service because we are more than just a Sun sign. At the same time, we are the sum of many planets and aspects. To isolate only one part out of many parts neglects the equally important parts. For this very reason, I keep it simple and leave scientific information out. I believe in giving answers and guidance to the subject inquired. Sometimes it is a matter of permeating below a surface to find a hidden meaning.

Astrology Planetary Cycles

Astrology Planetary Cycles

June 2019 has a fantastic astrological planetary movement. For the entire month of June, Saturn and Neptune are in a pleasant sextille. This mixture can make dreams come true. It can structure Neptune’s artistic and creative side. It will be an ideal period for performing artists and certain films to get recognition of having a social impact. Mini-Series Films such as “When They See Us” is under this influence and have started a lot of outflow or aid and raised social awareness on so many levels. Expect pieces of art and music to have this type of effect.

Then during June 8-June 24, Jupiter will be in square aspect to Neptune. This can create complications with oil, gas prices, stock market volatility, and hidden scandalous matters that come to the surface.

This is not the time to start any major relationship with a vendor or invest hard-earned dollars. With Neptune, the matters may seem inspired, but unrealistic. Since Jupiter’s nature is too expansive, this will be a more complicated issue because the reality or deception of Neptune can be stronger.

Now, the Mars aspects in the next few weeks will be standout. Mars rules explosions, military, violence, impulsive acts, arguments, and more. These 3 Mars aspects are:

Mars Quincunx Jupiter June 13-June 16: This can be added stress. Timpulsivity of these 2 planets in combination can result in overly emotionally words exchanged impulsively by world leaders /political figures with foreign countries. The nature of this aspect can also have challenges understanding another person’s philosophical point of view due to being too emotionally invested in the self or upsets. This is not the time to assert any major project with any company or any individual. Long terms decisions are best to be considered after these aspects.

Mars opposite Saturn: June 12-16: This is a double whammy during this period. Mars and Saturn combinations can be problematic as Mars can be too argumentative, and Saturn will not have it. Saturn will restrict Mars’ flow. So there is suppression, issues around boundaries (which include borders,) and matters surrounding security. When placed simultaneously with Mars Quincunx Saturn, these days very challenging. There could be security ideas that may be harvested, fought for, and then scrapped. Travel is not recommended during this period.

Mars opposite Pluto: June 18-June 22: This can be a problem around aggression and impulsive action where control, domination, and impulsivity are in a battle. This can be the grounds for a breakdown/shakedown of events and a slight disaster. I would never forecast an explosion or something massive. However, this energy is not the safest energy to be around. I avoid crowds (concerts, arenas, etc) during these periods.

Though there is no such period is defined as “bad,” it is recommended to think before speaking and not jump into a new venture during the June 12-22. Since its only 10 days, the better way to use these energies is to exercise, housework, and brainstorm ideas that will be reinvented.
