Heart of the Sun is the English name for cazimi, a traditional condition in which a planet is extremely close to the Sun’s exact zodiacal degree. The classical boundary is usually about 17 arcminutes from the Sun, although some astrologers use wider limits. It is more precise than a general Sun conjunction and is distinguished from combustion, in which proximity to the Sun is typically considered weakening or obscuring.

Astrological Meaning

A planet in the Heart of the Sun is traditionally regarded as strengthened, protected, or granted unusual authority. Its functions may become closely aligned with solar themes such as purpose, visibility, leadership, and conscious direction.
