Babylon was an ancient Mesopotamian city and cultural center located in present-day Iraq. In astrological history, its name often refers more broadly to the Babylonian scholarly tradition that recorded celestial events, developed omen literature, and helped establish systematic methods for observing the movements of planets, the Moon, and eclipses.
Astrological Meaning
Babylon is not a planet, sign, house, or chart placement. Its astrological importance is historical: Babylonian scholars linked recurring sky phenomena with conditions affecting rulers, cities, weather, agriculture, and public life.
