Definition

Apogee is the point in an orbit at which an object is farthest from Earth. In astrology, the term most often refers to the Moon’s apogee, commonly associated with Black Moon Lilith. Because the lunar orbit continually changes, astrologers may calculate this point as either the mean apogee or the true, oscillating apogee.

Astrological Meaning

The lunar apogee is a calculated point rather than a physical planet or body. Astrologers often interpret it as representing independence, exclusion, taboo, instinct, or aspects of experience that resist accommodation. Its zodiac sign may describe the style through which these themes emerge, while its house can suggest the life area in which they become noticeable.
