Definition

Circumambulations are traditional astrological timing procedures in which a significant natal point is directed symbolically through the zodiac. Common starting points include the Ascendant, Midheaven, Sun, Moon, or Lot of Fortune. As the point advances, it encounters planetary aspects and the bounds, or terms, ruled by different planets, marking successive periods of life.

Astrological Meaning

Interpretation begins with the chosen significator. Directing the Ascendant may emphasize life direction and personal circumstances, while the Sun can relate to purpose, visibility, or authority. The ruler of the bound through which the significator moves may act as a period ruler, setting the general tone.
