Mundane astrologers may examine planetary ingresses, eclipses, lunations, great conjunctions, and outer-planet cycles. They also use charts cast for events, political inaugurations, national foundations, or the start of significant developments. Houses and planets receive collective meanings: the second house may relate to national finances, the seventh to foreign powers, and the tenth to leaders or government. Interpretation depends on the chart’s purpose, historical context, location, and the reliability of its founding time.
