Ceres is a dwarf planet located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Named for the Roman goddess of agriculture and the harvest, it was discovered in 1801 and is commonly included in modern asteroid astrology. Ceres is not one of the seven traditional planets, so its use varies among astrologers.
