Active Influence
Definition
An active influence is the effect produced when planets, angles, or sensitive points enter an operative relationship. The term usually refers to a contact close enough to function through an aspect, transit, progression, direction, lunation, or eclipse.
Astrological Meaning
Not every part of a horoscope is equally emphasized at every moment. A natal pattern may remain latent until a later movement stimulates it. When a current planet reaches the relevant degree or forms a strong aspect, the symbolism becomes more immediate and noticeable.
Why It Matters
