Part 3 Psychic Testing Done Wrong Versus Right

Psychic Testing: In the last few weeks, we analogized our Psychic applicant testing practices to a business whom we referred to as “Sign Up.” We marked them Sign Up because anyone could sign up to be a Psychic on their website.

Recently, Sign Up has administered multiple-choice tests to their Psychic staff regardless of the number of years listed. We had to chime in and state that a multiple-choice test has disadvantages, especially when the psychic and prospective candidate is taking the test online from the comfort of his/her home.

Indeed, anyone can take a test on another’s behalf. Also, such an analysis is an open book test. Anyone can “Google” answers to questions.

More importantly, a multiple-choice test on the Tarot seems ineffective. We heard about such a test that contained questions such as: “How many cards are in a Tarot deck?” “What does a card in a reversed position of a card mean?” and “What does the Tower card represent?”

Education and knowledge are never wasted efforts. We believe there is a fine line between theory versus application of any art or science. Surely application wins out at the end of the day. .Most definitely, a talent reader will have enough desire to know the technical. A good reading is always solid. Even if a reader can answer all those multiple-choice questions correctly, it will not make the reader extraordinary.

This is why on AbsoluteyPsychic.com we schedule a 1 on 1 telephone test with the Psychic applicant. They have to provide a reading for us. We tell them, “I need information on XYZ. What do you see? ” This is very similar to a singer on American Idol. It’s a cut and dry process. If the singer sounds great, then they may win. The same concept applies to our testing. Was there skill, accuracy, and real talent in work. It is a no-brainer.

When we hear about multiple tests administered by Sign-Up, it sparks our passion for speaking up about this because a company’s procedure does not make it an industry standard.

I can go out on a limb and give my humble opinion about this. More than likely, the reason why such a multiple-choice test exists is that they are testing over 700 Psychics at once. Automation saves time and money.

Remember those standardized tests such as SAT’s, GMAT, etc.? Back in my days, we used a number 2 pencil to fill in the bubble for those types of multiple-choice tests on a scorecard. Those cards were placed into a device slot that would immediately grade by the answer. There wasn’t an instructor to grade the card. It saves time! The same concept applies to Sign Up.

Finally, it came to my attention that Sign Up charged their registered Psychic readers an administrative fee upon registration. Gosh, I can chew this in a million pieces. I can state that from an ethical point of view, this is questionable. 99.999% of all employment never charge a fee unless equipment or merchandise is exchanged.

I believe every company has the right to structure the process that works for them. Our industry has been a niche. I share my opinion because I’m from the dinosaur era from a previous Psychic Network in the late ’80s and early ’90s. I think outside the box and know there are always multiple ways to complete a task. However, I have never seen an open book multiple-choice test as a screening process for Psychic ability in working 37 years of being in this industry.  From Coordinator 2: My testing style on Psychics

When I perform test reading evaluations on the APN, accuracy in the present or past circumstances are very important for me. At the same time, I like the directions being followed. To me, what an applicant says on the phone word for word is magnified even more if it were a client. So I treat every nuance with the utmost care.

Before working in the HR department on APN, I worked in HR for a well known governmental agency. So screening for skill and authenticity has always been my forte. Admittedly, I’ve had instances where applicants do not live up to standards. Example: I’ve had a situation where an applicant was reading from a book. My “testing muscles” have been exercised so many times that I can immediately tell. With great amusement, I know what to say to throw them off track. This is what I was trained to do working before APN.

For the most part, psychic skills always shine through instantly. I keep an open mind to the fact that not everyone is going to connect with me on a level that may seem perfect. The reason for that is because the chemistry between 2 people always dictates. In those circumstances, a second test may be more appropriate with another evaluator. I have 3 choices: yes, no, maybe. The feasible option is only if the reading was just ok. That is when another evaluator will conduct another evaluation and have my notes on why it was a maybe. Sometimes it can be an easy pass for the 2nd evaluator. Perhaps it was due to the time of the day, the chemistry with a different evaluator, or more confidence set in.

Finally, I am the first to admit that I am not the easiest to read. To some, I may come across as too “by the rules.” However, if one can do a reading for me, then the toughest client will be a breeze to read.

Sign Up has been around for close to 18 years. In the beginning, anyone could sign up by undergoing the same process for an email address or user account. It would take little time by filling out a few fields on a web page and uploading a profile. Presto! The sign-up person would then be labeled as a Psychic.

After many years of operating, Sign Up has decided to test their already existing Psychic readers by first examining their language skills and their computer skills in their site navigation. On the one hand, I can appreciate any testing process. I support quality control from time to time. Also, I will recommend a language test, as excellent communication is vital. When their multiple-choice tests asked the test taker (experts billed as Psychics) “the proper reflexive form of the verb,” I find that to be irrelevant to Psychic ability.

I will also support the operational procedure of quality control. So inevitably, if Sign Up found it necessary to test their “psychic experts” on where to click on their website for customer service, I can appreciate efficiency. However, these tests have nothing whatsoever to do with Psychic ability.

Well, it now came to my attention that they are sending multiple-choice tests to quiz for Psychic ability. Though Sign Up has a right to handle their affairs however they see fit, I share my point of view on this from an industry perspective after being on the Board of Directors for 2 prior networks since 1988. The testing procedure Sign Up is conducting is useless for evaluating Psychic Ability. If I quizzed my doctor in my car, it would be absurd! I go to the doctor about my health. I go to my mechanic for my car maintenance.

Clients go to Psychic Readers because of their Psychic ability. If they know what reflexive format of a verb or pronoun, great! It is not going to make the psychic ability any better.

When we receive a psychic application on Absolutely Psychic, we will review the application to determine if we are interested in going to the next level.

If it goes into the testing process, one of our 4 testing coordinators will schedule via email a telephone appointment one-on-one LIVE. In my opinion, a live test is a correct way to determine psychic ability, professionalism, language skills, interpersonal skills, and talent.

In this series, we invite our coordinators to chime in on the process. 

From Coordinator 1: Testing a psychic is a breeze and fun experience. I look at as auditioning a singer. Instantly the moment the singer starts to sing, it’s evident if they are talented or not. It’s that simple. When I test a psychic, I tell them straight out; I want to know what you see for me for the next few months in business and relationships. We do not provide the date of births or Astrology signs. If the Tarot will be used, that is fine. However, since this is a reading and not a class, I will request that we do not get bogged down with technical information. Please avoid technical jargon such as “The Queen of Cups is reversed.” Translate what that means. When I go to the doctor, I need to be spoken to in plain, understandable language. Save the medical-ease for the classroom or colleagues. Clients do not want a lesson in the Tarot. They only want answers. It’s that simple. Down deep inside, I know that some readers show off their technical knowledge to mask their insecurities. We need to get passed that. Sometimes there are rare exceptions.

Those first few seconds of the testing process usually tells me a lot while I’m filling out the testing form. If the Psychic accurately described a past or present situation, feeling, energy, another person, time-period, event, I am impressed. Also, reading style demonstrates a lot too. It is a multi-layered experience. It isn’t rocket science. The moment Susan Boyle sang at her audition, in an instant, her talent shined. That video is on YouTube. This is no different. Ability speaks louder than words in the doing.

It is prevalent that taking a test can be nerve-racking. I assure all psychic applicants that we appreciate their time, and this process will remain a positive experience. We are not there to critique them on their talent. Surely if they do well, we will offer constructive tips to improve their performance.

Finally, the most important idea for me while testing an applicant is how I would feel if I were a client receiving that reading. After all, this is for our clients; it must render quality. I like getting a Psychic Reading. However, I will only love a good Psychic Reading that hit points on the dot. If I equated this to eating a pastry, some pastries would be ok while others would be so delicious that I’d like to have more. The same concept applies here. This is a no-brainer, fun, and straightforward process for me.

Astrology Months Ahead

The Astrology forecast for the months ahead: The coast is clear for the next few months in 2018. Between now thru March 22nd, get as much done as viable. Saturn just entered Capricorn. It is trustworthy for proficient efforts and structuring your professional goals. Whether this means going back to school or charging an action plan, it is an ideal time to put one concurrently and carry it through.

In mid-February the Solar Eclipse lands in Aquarius. This accentuates a few issues for the next few months as the effects of a Solar Eclipse lasts from one eclipse to the other. The stock market is going to be extra volatile like Bitcoin due to the square to Jupiter. It may be an excellent time to have your portfolio re-balanced or consider other funds to invest.

From March 22-April 15, Mercury will be retrograde in Aries. Careful making any upgrades or changes to your equipment (computer, phone, electronics. ) As with any retrograde Mercury, it is not the time to sign a contract. It is a great time to re-inspect prior documents and books. This will be a considerable period to re-learn your equipment. Your mind is more receptive to learning or re-learning operations

Then from June 26-August 27: Mars turns retrograde. It is responsible for your will force, physical energy, ambitious energy, libido, and enthusiasm. Projects during this development many not turn out as expected. This retrograde will be in the sign of Aquarius. It will not be the best time to travel as Aquarius has to do with travel. Naturally, this will cut into summer fun. If you can schedule your vacation before June 26th or after August 27th, you are likely to have a better period traveling.

Steer away from major repairs on equipment (including cars.) A repair job on a Mars retrograde may result in needing another repair take place. After the retrograde has turned direct, the problem can be more understood. Repair jobs include surgery. Avoid surgery under this time frame, if possible.

Aside from delays, there can be conflicts in the airline industry. This can grow even more during this period. Airline prices may soar as well, and regulations undergo a modification. Aviation or airport strikes are possible because Aquarius governs strikes.

Now considering the Solar Eclipse is also in Aquarius and Mars retrograde will be in Aquarius, there may be a strike of some sort taking place this year.

Regardless, the year is starting on a bright foot, so now is the time to take action.
