A Spiritual Moment Covid-19 Cannot Take!

Lists

Meditation: I like to start my reading day with a good clearing of energy and recharging of energy at my reading table.  Much like jogger limbers up with stretching techniques before actually starting in on his or her run or race, I warm up too.

My essential morning meditation is a visual and breathing meditation. I use a single white candle which I have captured with my most positive energies and light this candle in the middle of my reading table. Once I have darkened the space with only the single candle, I sit in my chair centering myself just in front of the candle. I make sure my posture is good with back straight, feet flat on the floor, and my hands place on each knee. My next stage of my meditation process is silencing the whole outside physical world by gazing at the light of the candle and breathing in through my nose to a count of four and slowly out by my mouth to a count of eight. After a while I feel the warmth and energy of my single light growing, I close my eyes and travel more in-depth into meditation.

I can feel the energy of connection growing and leaving now room for negativity. The visualization with the flame of the candle helps me connect the physical flame with the spiritual or psychic flame or light growing within me.

Starting from my feet and progressing upward through my entire body to the very top of my head I feel the energy of this white flame filling me with awareness, light and opening up my sight. With this calm and open connection I am ready and able to do my best to help light the way for answers to your questions.

A good example of this would be a lighthouse that has dirt or dust covering the lens of the light. This smudging and dirt would make it very dim and less useful to light the way for the ships at sea that are looking toward it for guidance.

For as long as man can recall, we have been subjected to organized religion. We have all been placed in a typical group, whether that be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, etc. But what exactly makes them all distinct beyond the fact of who we send our compliments to? How can we have so much negativity surrounding something that is meant to create joy, love, and peace? Universal throughout all religions, we will see that we all follow the same blueprint: To love everyone and everything unconditionally, compassionately, and whole-heartedly. It doesn’t matter the deity you call on or the name you have for the Creator. If you have faith and acknowledge that there is a higher force that plays a major part in your life on this Earth, that is all you need.

When I first started learning about the different aspects of religion, I was a practicing Christian. I grew up in a very religious family, although they all worshipped something other than Christian. I was brought up believing that having faith in something was all you needed no matter which path you took. One day I found myself feeling unfulfilled by listening to a sermon one day at church, so I decided to branch out and see what everyone else was learning. When I began to research the different religions, I found that if we stop looking at the words in a literal aspect, we will see they are merely instructions on how to make it through this journey we call life. Being unique is one of our most prized gifts as humans and we must embrace that uniqueness. We all grew up with the idea that our family traditions would be the way to live and follow, but as we get older, we find that something’s just don’t fit into our lives the way they did for our parents, grandparents, etc.

But if you don’t follow a religion, are you an atheist? Far from it! Being able to expand beyond the little boxes that we have been placed in allows us to be able to have more understanding for our fellow man and animal as we cohabitate this beautiful planet. I have come to learn that being Spiritual not only keeps my faith high but also keeps me connected with everything in the Universe. Being spiritual allows you to break free from thinking inside the box, knowing there are limitless possibilities, and if we can keep the idea present that there is a Higher being, a Creator. 

We have the right to choose who we want to be, where we want to go, and how we want to do it. To stay blinded by any hype blocks messages that our Higher Source has for us and keeps our lights dim as we move and allow others to lead our lives.

Happiness is a Choice

To get to the next phase of joy, you must first release the chains of fear that are holding you captive. 

I remember once I was in Shabbat and a boy came up to the Bina and said “Yesterday is history tomorrow is a mystery today is a gift which is why we call it the ‘Present’ that stuck with me. Joy lives in the present. Fear lives in the past, and worries live in the future.

Worry is one of the most useless emotions. It serves no purpose; it only throws your chakras off balance and drains you of the vital energy that you need. Most of the time, we are worried about things that are the size of a pea. We make them larger than what they are, until all we see is the GIANT problem and rather than stepping back so we can see the solution standing right in front of us. We stare at the BIG Problem. This is unhealthy.
