Between now through May 25, expect a major world event to take place.  The news sensationalizes spectacles.  Hidden information reaches the surface, especially with past and present political figures.  I would never forecast a major catastrophe; however, they typically occur with such aspects.  Some Astrologers would justify Mars exiting from the Out of Bounds placement from Cancer to dramatic Leo as a major event.

At the start of the week, Jupiter has been Square to Pluto.  Mars has reached the point to aspect both planets.  A T-square is an aspect pattern formed by three planets or points that create a configuration resembling the letter “T” when connecting their positions in the birth chart.  It involves two planets in opposition (180 degrees apart) and a third planet or point squaring (90 degrees) both of the opposing planets. The T-square configuration creates a dynamic and challenging energy that often requires attention and integration.  The planet at the end of the T has to carry out the mission to make the Opposite planets balance each other out. 

Currently, the Writers Guild is on strike.  Expect the situation to worsen before improving.  Asserting action is needed.  The volatility of Mars square Pluto can be devastating, combative, explosive, and violent.

The opposition in the T square creates a polarity between two areas of life, while the square aspect intensifies the dynamic by adding further conflict or obstacles. This configuration indicates areas of friction and difficulty and areas where growth and resolution are needed.  This presents an opportunity for self-awareness, self-reflection, and finding ways to integrate and balance the opposing energies.

This T square is in fixed signs.  Mars will be in Leo, Pluto is in Aquarius, and Jupiter is in Taurus.  A fixed T square signifies strong will and determination, resistance to change, frustrated inner tension, the manifestation of willpower, and the need for flexibility and adaptability.

Finally, on a positive note, Jupiter is at the end of the T square, which can bring changes in ethics that turn into a favorable outcome.  Basically, in order to expand/heal (Jupiter), there needs to be a major conflict.

During Mercury retrograde in Aries, expect turbulence and volatility. Aries, known for its direct and forceful communication style, amplifies these traits, often leading to heated disputes fueled by emotions and obscure facts.

On April 25, Mercury retrograde conjuncts the North Node for the final time which facilitates a cleared assessment of future prospects.

In astrology, Mercury is associated with communication, technology, and travel.  When it goes into retrograde, communication can become more difficult, misunderstandings and delays can occur, and technology and transportation may experience more glitches and breakdowns.

Financial negotiations may be stalled.  Previous budgeting strategies may undergo re-evaluation.  You may either repurpose possessions that were sitting in a cabinet.  Technical glitches may occur or the lifespan of equipment may reach its finality.

This is not the time to apply for a loan, mortgage, credit card, etc.  Although it is an ideal period for reflecting on your financial goals and reviewing finances, save your ideas for execution until Mercury turns direct.  By then, you will have more ideas or information. 

Everyone is impacted by retrograde Mercury.  Depending on the location of where Mercury is transiting through your chart determines the area of life. This is based on your full chart which is determined by your hour of birth as well as your date and location of birth. 

Mars is more than just the “God of war.” Mars describes what Venus enjoys and battles what Venus detests. Sex, assertion, drive, physical energy, competition, fire, anger, and war are ruled by Mars. Mars out-of-bounds is about to start.

Certain planets go out-of-bounds every few years. Usually, it is for a short 2-3 month period. The upcoming Mars out-of-bounds will enter on October 22, 2022, until May 5, 2023.  Similar to sports, beyond the limits of the established field of play is where an out-of-bounds planet travels.

Though Gemini governs automotive, communication, local transportation, elementary schools, post offices, and communication carriers, this is a time to pay extra attention to any transaction with these institutions. Pay additional detail to passwords. The potential for hacking is strong.  Also, for those driving cars with driving assistant, pay attention to how you rely on it.  Recently, LAUSD was hacked. A ransom was rejected. The entire roster was exposed.  

Mars is war. Could there be potential or just talk Gemini loves to talk, the short answer is yes. However, it is mutable and short-lived.  

The financial markets may be a bit difficult. The last time another out-of-bounds Mars was in effect was during the period of 10/4/2007-4/25/2008. Certainly, with other planetary configurations, this is especially strong. 

Though Mars out-of-bounds may seem to appear as violent, it can produce courage and physical abilities.   Henry Kissinger had an out-of-bounds Mars in Gemini. He negotiated dialogues to end conflicts during the Vietnam War. Could this be a possible breakthrough with Biden? Maybe. Putin will have an impact. This too will be discussed at a later date.

Mercury Retrograde diverts retrograde on Monday, May 10, 2022. Since this retrograde starts in the sign of Gemini, anticipate numerous stories about a scenario. Communication gets lost in translation (literally and figuratively.) Triple-check all data. However, those that require language translation may need to slow down as information may be processed incorrectly.

 On a global level expect:

1.  Possibility of cyber attacks, clever viruses, or a major electronic hacking scandal.
2.  Issues with gasoline continue.
3.  Phone carrier and ISP issues.
4.  Issues and/or scandals with the post office and transportation carriers, 
5.  Donald Trump emerges more in the news.

 Interacting with people personally and professionally who lack clarity is strongly themed. Some of these people can experience mental fatigue, addiction, and limitations in processing information.

On May 24, Mercury re-enters Taurus and remains there until June 15. Communication may become unstable, slow pace, and lack empathy. People will take additional time to process thoughts. The biggest challenge is around the end of the retrograde from Jun 2-June 9 as Mercury will be squaring Saturn. On the first day of this square Mercury is retrograde and then the following day, it turns direct. The results of a concealed investigation likely become public. Mercury Square Saturn is a classic combination for slowing communication. Equipment can break during this time, whereas on a retrograde Mercury it may go haywire. June 2 is a day to pay extra attention to avoiding any major technical experimentation. 

In general, it is best to reschedule important decisions for a later date. More importantly, pay extra attention to any information that is given to you as it may be an incomplete or unclear version.

Mercury retrograde offers an opportunity to handle unfinished business. However, it is not recommended to start new projects. Contracts and agreements need to be carefully analyzed before signing. 

Under Mercury retrograde expect your electronic devices to crash. So making a backup is vital. Travel delays and traffic jams are normal.

 1. Review all documents before signing carefully.

 2. Add tracking and insurance to important mail and/or packages as Mercury has rulership with the post office and other mail couriers.

 3. Give yourself extra time for appointments and travel. 

 4. Focus on the prefix, re: renew, review, revamp, redecorate, etc

 5. Reunions with old friends and loved ones go great however be prepared for delays.

 6. Expect to have contact with people from your past

 7. Run antivirus software on your computer and other electronic devices. 

 DON’T

 1. Make new purchases, especially car, technical equipment, telephone equipment, and/or electronic equipment.

2. Sign contracts or make an oral agreement without scrutiny. Wait until Mercury turns direct.

 3. Make long term commitments

 4. Turn in unchecked work.

 5. Make a mass mailing hit the post office. Save your stamp expense until Mercury goes direct. Though electronic mass mailings do not cost, it would be better if they can be postponed until Mercury turns direct.

 6) Make software updates.

 Finally, expect some funky turn-in events. Usually lost luggage is retrieved on a retrograde Mercury. I have heard stories of airlines suddenly delivering a suitcase many years later to the rightful owner. Retrieving items that were once lost is common. Also, expect certain gadgets to start working after they stopped.

Declinations reveal many hidden gems. Common aspects such as conjunction, opposition, trine, square, etc are the longitude aspects.  

There are various sets of aspects that get undermined understood as declinations. When planets are close to each the orb of 1 degree 12 minutes either north or south is in Declination. Parallel declinations exist when 2 planets are on the same side within the orb and reside either both north and south. When this happens, the point is like a conjunction. Contra-Parallel declinations exist when 2 planets are in the same orb however, one planet is north and the other is south and considered as an opposition. 

There are instances when 2 planets in a chart may not have a longitude aspect, but they share a declination aspect. This creates an important emphasis. For example, I know someone that was born with Mercury Parallel the Ascendant. Longitude aspect-wise, he doesn’t have an aspect between Mercury and the Ascendant. He is known for his voice on the radio as an announcer. That Mercury acts like Mercury conjunct the Ascendant. 

 When 2 planets share a longitude aspect and a declination, it emphasizes the aspect. Other times, a minor longitude aspect between 2 planets is formed; if it is either Parallel or Contra-parallel, it will make that minor aspect a major player.  

Madonna’s declination of Venus and Pluto is Parallel to the MC in her chart. Who was described as the most powerful woman in this world?  This aspect also describes her worldwide iconic and sex symbol status.  

Venus/Pluto aspects demonstrate seduction, sex appeal, topics around sex, religion, and psychology. Pluto/MC will bring a person into power. Venus/MC is an artist with strong creative energy. At first glimpse into her chart, we a Venus /MC sextile is present. Though sextiles are opportunity aspects, they aren’t the strongest. However, when factoring in declinations, the Parallel between those 2 points makes that sextile aspect as powerful as a conjunction.  

Cher is another example. She has Venus/Pluto/Ascendant all Parallel. This makes her a powerful creative force with Iconic status. Viewing her chart with only longitude aspects, this is very difficult to detect. However, once we examine these aspects, it becomes evident. Another chart with this setup is Mariah Carey.    

Declinations are also used in several forecasting tools (transits, progressions, return charts) in predictive work.  Transiting and progressed declinations add additional details into upcoming events.  Also, using declinations in relationship analysis gives more dimensions to compatibility analysis.
