Venus is retrograde until April 12, 2025. The houses in astrology represent different areas of life. Depending on where Venus retrograde is transiting through your chart, it determines the area of life that brings a re-evaluation of love, affection, pleasure, warmth, appreciation, beauty, money, art, and desire. These do not have to be romantic or sexual.

This upcoming Venus retrograde will have similar tones to the Venus retrograde periods of 2017, 2009, 2001, and 1993. Take into account what was happening for you during those periods. For example, I know someone who had Venus retrograde through her 4th house. It was during that time that she developed dissatisfaction with the building she had moved into months prior. She felt the financial value of what she was paying didn’t match the quality. She moved again six months later. 8 years later, she faced similar themes.

During this retrograde, it may bring people or news about people from the past. More specifically, the type of people it may draw would be based on the themes of the house Venus transits.

The entire chart needs evaluation, considering the natal position of Venus. Therefore, below is a general bumper-sticker interpretation.

Venus Retrograde 3/1-4/12

Venus retrograde happens approximately every 18 months; Venus appears to move in reverse through the zodiac. This period typically lasts for about 40 to 43 days.

The effects of the upcoming Venus Retrograde 3/1-4/12 are in effect as Venus has started to slow down. Astrologically, Venus is associated with love, relationships, beauty, harmony, and finances, so its retrograde motion influences these areas.

In astrology, Venus retrograde is often seen as a time for introspection and reevaluation of our relationships, values, and personal aesthetics. It is considered a period when issues related to love, partnerships, and money may come to the forefront. People may experience challenges or delays in their romantic relationships or encounter difficulties in matters of the heart. It is also believed that Venus retrograde can bring back past lovers or unresolved relationship issues.

During this period, it is generally advised to avoid making significant relationship or financial decisions, as the energy of Venus retrograde may cloud judgment. This upcoming retrograde will resemble the Venus retrograde from March-April 2017 and March-April 2009. The difference is that Venus in that period was in aspect to different planets.

Go through cabinets and closets. You may discover rarely used items that can be used in other capacities. For example, if you find a container that was intended for holding jewelry, you may repurpose it as a coin holder in your car. Though that may seem trivial, this retrograde is excellent to declutter.

Ironically, Venus Retrograde rules antiques. Check the value of items before tossing them. There could be a hidden gem buried.

Items remain expensive. This is not the type to purchase major items (appliances, equipment, etc…) I have observed the construction of an apartment building on a Venus Retrograde. In 18 months it was launched for tenants to lease. Unfortunately, it was on a Venus Retrograde. The rents were blown out of proportion. The building remains 75% unoccupied. This scenario will require a change in management. Mind the stock market as there may be sharp twists. This is not the time to make major changes.

Chaotic T Square Alert

Between now through May 25, expect a major world event to take place. The news sensationalizes spectacles. Hidden information reaches the surface, especially with past and present political figures. I would never forecast a major catastrophe; however, they typically occur with such aspects. Some Astrologers would justify Mars exiting from the Out of Bounds placement from Cancer to dramatic Leo as a major event.

At the start of the week, Jupiter has been Square to Pluto. Mars has reached the point to aspect both planets. A T-square is an aspect pattern formed by three planets or points that create a configuration resembling the letter “T” when connecting their positions in the birth chart. It involves two planets in opposition (180 degrees apart) and a third planet or point squaring (90 degrees) both of the opposing planets. The T-square configuration creates a dynamic and challenging energy that often requires attention and integration. The planet at the end of the T has to carry out the mission to make the Opposite planets balance each other out.

Currently, the Writers Guild is on strike. Expect the situation to worsen before improving. Asserting action is needed. The volatility of Mars square Pluto can be devastating, combative, explosive, and violent.

Legal enforcement, generosity, and foreign aid may be needed. Brutal force is applied. Stock markets dip during this period. There may be some type of warfare, fire, explosion, gun issues (again), environmental, weather, earthquake, and volcano type of major eruption.

Personal and business relationships can break down. Whether there are problems with an airline or just general travel chaos, these next few days may bring some headlines.

The opposition in the T square creates a polarity between two areas of life, while the square aspect intensifies the dynamic by adding further conflict or obstacles. This configuration indicates areas of friction and difficulty and areas where growth and resolution are needed. This presents an opportunity for self-awareness, self-reflection, and finding ways to integrate and balance the opposing energies.

This T square is in fixed signs. Mars will be in Leo, Pluto is in Aquarius, and Jupiter is in Taurus. A fixed T square signifies strong will and determination, resistance to change, frustrated inner tension, the manifestation of willpower, and the need for flexibility and adaptability.

Understanding the planets in aspect adds details. Below is a bumper sticker version of the aspects; an entire book can be written about each aspect.

Mars Square Jupiter: Expansive energy and ambition. Jupiter represents growth, expansion, and opportunities, while Mars represents drive, ambition, and assertiveness. When these two planets are in opposition, there can be a clash between personal desires (Mars) and deeper, subconscious motivations (Pluto). This aspect often brings about power struggles, conflicts, intense interactions with others, and intensity and emotional depth.

Jupiter Square Pluto: Power struggles and control issues, deep transformation and regeneration, tension between expansion and transformation, urges for control by excessive behavior, and rebirth through resilience.

In your personal life, this can give you courage to conquer goals and obstacles. However, the dramatic reactions may hurt. Careful with heated confrontations.

In politics and business, security forces possibly with military, may conduct secret operations the use of powerful forces and weapons are involved. Police and military brutality is highlighted. Mayhem erupts.

Finally, on a positive note, Jupiter is at the end of the T square, which can bring changes in ethics that turn into a favorable outcome. Basically, in order to expand/heal (Jupiter), there needs to be a major conflict.

Mercury Retrograde 4/1-4/25

During Mercury retrograde in Aries, expect turbulence and volatility. Aries, known for its direct and forceful communication style, amplifies these traits, often leading to heated disputes fueled by emotions and obscure facts.

On April 25, Mercury retrograde conjuncts the North Node for the final time which facilitates a cleared assessment of future prospects.

In astrology, Mercury is associated with communication, technology, and travel. When it goes into retrograde, communication can become more difficult, misunderstandings and delays can occur, and technology and transportation may experience more glitches and breakdowns.

Financial negotiations may be stalled. Previous budgeting strategies may undergo re-evaluation. You may either repurpose possessions that were sitting in a cabinet. Technical glitches may occur or the lifespan of equipment may reach its finality.

This is not the time to apply for a loan, mortgage, credit card, etc. Although it is an ideal period for reflecting on your financial goals and reviewing finances, save your ideas for execution until Mercury turns direct. By then, you will have more ideas or information.

Each Mars retrograde differs based on the sign it occurs in. Currently, this Mars retrograde begins in the sign of Leo. The previous time Mars was retrograde in this position was between December 2009 and March 2010. While there are similarities, this retrograde will also move back into the sign of Cancer.

Reflect on what was happening in your life during the previous retrograde, as similar themes may arise. There is an emphasis on how assertively, passionately, and confidently you act and express yourself.

Expression and Barriers: Are you putting up walls? What might be hiding behind those walls? These are important questions to explore during this time.

Mars retrograde occurs approximately every 26 months and lasts for 70 to 80 days. Projects may stall, and energy levels can feel lower than usual. Impulsive actions and unrecognized anger can lead to arguments or accidents. Sexual activity may also feel less fulfilling or encounter challenges.
