Rahu is the name given to the Moon’s north node in Vedic astrology. It is not a physical planet but a calculated point where the Moon’s orbit crosses the ecliptic. Traditionally classed as a shadow planet, Rahu forms an axis with Ketu, the south node, and is associated astronomically with eclipse cycles.

Astrologically, Rahu often symbolizes appetite, ambition, fascination, disruption, and the urge to enter unfamiliar territory.
