A nodal opposition occurs when the transiting lunar nodes align with the natal nodal axis in reverse: the transiting North Node conjoins the natal South Node, while the transiting South Node conjoins the natal North Node. Because the North and South Nodes are always opposite, interpretation centers on the complete axis rather than one isolated aspect.
