Definition

A Planet at the Bending is a planet forming a square, or approximately 90-degree aspect, to the lunar nodal axis. Because the North Node and South Node are opposite each other, the planet squares both. The term is most often used in natal astrology, although the same geometry can be examined in transits, progressions, and relationship charts.

Astrological Meaning

Astrologers generally interpret the planet as a point of tension that demands integration within the nodal story. The South Node may describe familiar patterns, while the North Node suggests qualities being developed; the squared planet can complicate, redirect, or energize movement between them. Its sign, house, rulerships, condition, and exactness show how this dynamic may operate.
