Weather Astrology, also called astrometeorology, is a traditional branch of mundane astrology that examines possible correspondences between celestial cycles and atmospheric conditions. Practitioners study charts for particular times and locations, rather than personal birth charts, to explore symbolic indications of rain, wind, heat, cold, storms, or seasonal shifts.

Astrological Meaning

Interpretation may draw on planetary ingresses, lunations, eclipses, aspects, angular planets, and the elemental qualities of signs. A chart cast for the Sun’s entry into Aries or for a New Moon may be assessed for a specific region, with the Ascendant, Midheaven, and house placements giving the symbolism a local focus. Water signs might suggest moisture, for example, while fire signs may be associated with heat or dryness. These meanings are modified by planetary condition, aspects, geography, season, and the type of chart being used; no single placement provides a complete judgment.

Why It Matters

Weather Astrology matters chiefly as a historical and symbolic forecasting practice.
