Definition
Medium Coeli, usually abbreviated MC and commonly called the Midheaven, is the point where the ecliptic intersects the local meridian above the horizon. Its position depends on the time and place of a chart. In many quadrant house systems it marks the tenth-house cusp, though in other house systems it may fall within a different house.
