Definition

A relocation chart is a natal chart recalculated for a different geographic location while preserving the original birth date and exact moment of birth. The planets retain their zodiac signs and aspects, but the houses and chart angles may change because the chart is viewed from a new latitude and longitude.

Astrological Meaning

Astrologers use a relocation chart to explore how a person’s natal potential may be expressed in a particular place. Planets moved closer to the Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, or Imum Coeli often receive greater emphasis. House changes can also shift the life areas through which planetary themes emerge. For example, a natal Venus placement that moves from the third house to the fourth may place more attention on home, family, comfort, or belonging. The relocation chart does not replace the natal chart; it offers a location-specific perspective on the same birth pattern.
