Vulture is an archaic celestial image found in classical star lore rather than a planet, zodiac sign, or standard chart placement. Historical sources associated the “falling vulture” with Lyra and the bright star Vega, while the “flying vulture” was linked with Aquila and its principal star, Altair. The intended constellation or star must therefore be identified before interpretation.

Astrological Meaning

In traditional fixed-star astrology, vulture symbolism may suggest keen perception, strategic patience, survival, elevation, or the ability to recognize value that others overlook. Lyra and Vega can add themes of artistry, refinement, charisma, and cultivated talent, whereas Aquila and Altair may emphasize boldness, ambition, movement, and command.
