Definition

The Point of Life is a traditional astrological term for a chart factor associated with vitality and the sustaining principle of life. It is often identified with the Hyleg, or “giver of life,” although terminology and calculation rules vary among classical authors. It is not necessarily a separate mathematical point.

Astrological Meaning

To determine the Point of Life, an astrologer may examine the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Part of Fortune, or prenatal lunation.
