The decile is a minor astrological aspect formed when two planets or chart points are approximately 36 degrees apart, dividing the 360-degree zodiac into ten equal sections. It is also called the semi-quintile because it measures half of the 72-degree quintile. The “v” in some aspect lists may function as a shorthand mark, although notation varies among astrologers and software.
Astrological Meaning
The decile belongs to the fifth-harmonic family, which astrologers commonly associate with creativity, specialized abilities, pattern-making, and the purposeful arrangement of ideas or materials. In a natal chart, it may suggest a subtle capacity that becomes more noticeable through practice. Interpretation depends on the planets involved, their signs and houses, and the orb allowed.
