Astral Light is an esoteric term for a subtle, universal medium believed to carry images, influences, and impressions between the material and spiritual worlds. The expression became especially prominent in nineteenth-century Western occultism. It is often associated with the astral plane, the world soul, and the idea that events leave nonphysical traces.
Astrological Meaning
In astrological writing, Astral Light may describe the imagined medium through which planetary symbolism reaches or reflects earthly life. Some practitioners connect it with intuition, dreams, psychic impressions, or the symbolic atmosphere surrounding a person or event. It is not a planet, chart point, aspect, or standard calculation, and it should not be interpreted as a distinct natal placement. Classical and traditional astrologers may instead discuss celestial influence, sympathy, or correspondence without using this later occult term.
